Experienced Ladies’ Maid Location: Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and discreet Ladies’ Maid to join a private household in the picturesque town of Henley-on-Thames. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional who will ensure the utmost care and impeccable presentation of the principal’s personal wardrobe and effects.

This role requires a candidate with a refined approach, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of luxury garment care and personal assistance within a private household setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wardrobe Management: Meticulous care, organisation, and maintenance of an extensive wardrobe, including high-end fashion, delicate fabrics, and accessories. This includes seasonal rotation, inventory management, and ensuring items are always prepared for immediate use.
• Garment Care Expertise: Expert laundering, handwashing, pressing, steaming, and ironing of fine garments and linens. Proficient in stain removal and knowledgeable about specialist cleaning methods for various materials (silk, cashmere, leather, couture, etc.).
• Personal Dressing Assistance: Assisting the Principal with daily dressing, ensuring impeccable presentation for all occasions.
• Packing and Unpacking: Efficient and organised packing and unpacking for travel, ensuring all items are meticulously prepared and accounted for.
• Personal Shopping & Errands: Assisting with personal shopping, returns, alterations, and other errands as required.
• Light Personal Valeting: Maintaining the Principal’s personal spaces (dressing room, bathroom) to the highest standards of tidiness and organisation.
• Sewing & Repairs: Basic mending, alterations, and repairs to garments as needed.
• Discretion & Confidentiality: Upholding the highest levels of discretion, professionalism, and respect for privacy always.
• Travel: Flexibility to travel with the principal as required (domestic and international).

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience as a Ladies’ Maid or similar role within a UHNW private household or luxury environment.
• Exceptional knowledge of luxury fabrics, garment care techniques, and wardrobe management.
• Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and discreet demeanour.
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to anticipate needs.
• A clean UK driving license is preferred.
